KUCHING: Kuching City FC comeback from behind to snatch a 2-2 draw against Penang FC in a Liga Super match played at Stadium Negeri Kuching this evening. The match was played on a slippery pitch after a downpour in Kuching.

The visitors drew the first blood in the 36 minutes through Joao Neto after his stinging shot in the penalty box beat Kuching City FC keeper Shahril Sa'ari. Six minutes later, Penang FC scored their second goal through Rodrigo Dias after a mixed-up during a free kick in the penalty box. The match ended with the visitors leading at halftime.

Going into the second half, the home side raided Penang FC half searching for goal and their efforts were rewarded in the 68 minutes through Zahrul Nizwan Joe Kifli after finishing a cross by his team mate. In the 78 minutes, Ivorian import Tchetche Kipre scored to make it 2-2 for the home team.


Kuching City FC tried their best to find for the winning goal in the dying minutes but Penang FC defense stood firm to deny the home team the winning goal.
